  Technological sovereignty: a must for the security of France and its allies.

Does France have the technological means to guarantee its own security and that of its partners? 

This question, which is more relevant than ever, finds a concrete answer in the emergence of industrial players capable of developing sovereign solutions without relying on foreign technologies. Among them, MC2 Technologies, a company I co-founded more than twenty years ago with Dr. Nicolas Vellas, embodies this ambition: to prove that French excellence in micro- and nanotechnologies can meet the most critical challenges of our time.

Technological independence, a challenge for resilience

Mastering cutting-edge technologies in the field of security is not only a strategic advantage, it is a necessity. An autonomous industrial sector (ITAR-free), covering the entire value chain, makes it possible to secure sensitive data, infrastructure, and operations, while complying with the most stringent requirements of the armed forces and government agencies. This autonomy is a bulwark against geopolitical risks and a lever for strengthening our position on the international stage.

Innovative solutions for evolving threats

There are many challenges: electronic warfare, protection against drones, security for major events. The technologies developed in France have proven their effectiveness at major events, whether Olympic Games, national commemorations, or security operations involving prominent figures. These innovations, which are often unique and adaptable, are designed to neutralize threats while complying with the most demanding state and military standards. They illustrate how French expertise can protect citizens, infrastructure, and forces engaged in the field. Beyond the products themselves, a comprehensive training and knowledge transfer approach is essential. Training the armed forces and security personnel in the use of these tools is key to ensuring lasting sovereignty.

In a context where sovereignty issues are becoming decisive, innovation, independence, and training are the pillars of robust security. France has the assets to meet these challenges. It is up to us to mobilize them, collectively, to protect our territory, our fellow citizens, and our allies.
